Following graduation I had decided to apply around the globe in order to take advantages of the many opportunities out there. Ms. Knöpfel provided me with DCT contacts in the Asia Pacific area, one of these contacts being the Crowne Plaza Jinan. This hotel had contacted several high ranking Swiss Hotel Schools, DCT obviously being one of them, looking for qualified graduates to participate in their management training programs. After several e-mails and telephone interviews I was successful in obtaining the position.

I have had the opportunity to cross-train in several departments within the Rooms Division, fulfilling the duties and responsibilities from entry level to management positions. I have been able to attend Financial Management and Sales & Marketing Management meetings, these are very valuable experiences. As a special project I have been asked to propose and launch a butler service department for the Executive Floor, and I participate in the organization of monthly guest receptions in the lobby lounge.

I work in a fantastic hotel with professional helpful and friendly staff and management, a challenging learning experience. So... you see that my training is just - "Great!!!"

The Chinese Hospitality Industry is on the rise so there will be a lot of opportunities for me and may be for YOU, my fellow DCT Alumni, if you choose to work in the Asian Hospitality Industry.
