Robert Riet Klainguti"By choosing to earn the Advanced Diploma in European Culinary Management at DCT, I know that I personally learned a lot. In school, I learned the fact that cooking is very challenging but very beautiful at the same time. I experienced a lot of different ways of cooking and discovered how to present courses in an artistic and appealing way. In addition I developed my professional knowledge and improved my technical skills.
For me it was a special and very intensive time, and one that I will not soon forget. While I completed my Industry Training at the Park Hotel Vitznau, I experienced for myself how important it was to push yourself in the way we learned at school. From my working, I also learned that timing and teamwork are so very important if we are to work together successfully in such a large kitchen. Without teamwork, we are lost in a kitchen of such high standards! At the Park Hotel, I learned a lot of things; I made many friends. I can’t recommend the Park Hotel strongly enough! The only condition is that one has to be committed to give 110% and to be interested in the work.
Now that I have completed my Industry Training, I am aware
that I have reached a new level and have developed more stamina.
I see that I have become more creative, have fresh ideas,
and experiment with new recipes. The difference in my abilities
before and after the Industry Training is enormous. I made
large progress in building on what I had learned at DCT, and
I am glad that I had good teachers throughout who have shown
me the way.
